I have qualified in the sbi clerical test .Now my
interview is on 16-10-2008.So pls tell me what questions
are asked in the interview and tell me the reference book
for interview in sbi.

They had increased the no.of Vacancies. But not 11000 to
25000. Would be ~ly 13000 - 15000 .Coz, SBI is gng 4 an
another major recruitment for Clerks n PO's. And that will
be de final Major n Mass recruitment of SBI, i think
As overall increase in recruitment will be less that 4000
means calculate the no.of increase in vacancies
After that there will be recruitment only in 3 digits.Coz
SBI is gng for mergers so that they think staff needs will
be balanced thru mergers.

U know soon SB Indore is gng to merge with SBI
But dont worry. SBI is planning to reach over 50000 Unbanked
Villages. For that they r planning to hire more that 15000
Business Correspondents ( DOnt get wierd abt the
designation, they r also part of SBI, will be a Human
Bank:-))) . Expect the announcement soon.
U heard about IBA (Indian Bank's Association). Plans r there
that all banks combinely gng 4 recruitment thru IBA as per
their need in the future(Like conducting Common Entrance
Test and giving placement according to the marks scored) to
reduce the cost n time. So dont lose hope. This will
increase u r chance for getting job in any one of the Bank.
So Prepare n u will sure get success.

hi friends.
just checked out witht eh recruitment cell in kolkaata n
also with a frnd at the corporate center, chances are the
result woudl be out within june.
No date was given.
Sorry for some bad news i have got.........(just wanted to
share it)
regarding future recruitments..In the Analyst meet after
the balance sheet signing prog in kolkata, Mr. chairman
mentioned that sbi would not be going for any major
recruitment but v r still hearing that one last major
recruitment is going to take place so still the ambiguity
is very much in place.....

one more bad news...... regarding the high attrition rate
in sbi some seniors are suggesting not to select highly n
over qualified ppl, god forfid that this remains a rumour
only.........

the sbi paper. & wat is ur inhand salsry ryt nw as clerk.

U r right ya . I also heard that SBI officials had taken a
tough decision of NO SELECTION of highly qualified people
due to attrition. As i requested before please dont even
apply if u hav that criteria. It's hard to fill dat vacancy
and spoiling other's chance who really need dat job.

If u gav ur Mobile number , U will get msg in ur Mobile when
SBI results declared.
Truly to say i didnt remember the no.of attempts. But i m
sure dat i had attempted all ques. in English n General
Knowledge, Marketng. I had finished them first in 30 mins.
Then i went for other subjects
May be i had attempted 180-185 ques. U will come to know abt
de salary after u join in SBI. Hop u will get it.

U r right. they giv priority to written marks. But Interview
marks also will be taken to u r final selection. I know many
persons who had cleared Written but failed in Interview.
Some may clear the Written due to LUCK. But Interview is to
check ur knowledge abt ur subject , personality, True
attitude, handling of situations etc.

VERY IMPORTANT- Hi guys i am selected in sbh i read in the advertisement that was published in employment news about clerical recruitment in sbi associate banks that the job will involve marketing flair ie. will require making calls, travelling a lot My questions are 1. is it a marketing job or clerical job 2. are they recruiting us for in the bank services or will make us travel like marketing people 3. i initially thought that my job will be like those people who i see in banks ie. cashier etc but after reading the advt carefully i guess the job is something different 4. please guys clarify my doubts .U may also assk ur friends selected in last years sbi recruitment drive as to what jobs are they assigned and whether the advt during their time also had similar description of the job..
