member on the day of my interview so i can say it as a
offical info,but we never know....and the number thy told
is 30000. we will be lukky if it is 30k,hope we all will
meet after posting and thanks for this

if u r copying some info frm a page and pasting it, i
suggest it wud be good if u paste the link bcoz its hard

Hello! I attended the interview on 14th of October, 2008 in
State Bank training centre, Bangalore.

I was first asked to wait in a hall with around 50 other
applicants while our call letter, bio-data form (completely
filled), photocopies of the form (3 photocopies, attested by
a Gazetted officer, p.s. bank manager won’t do) and one set
of photocopies of required certificates (10th grade marks
card is definitely the best option for age proof), were
checked along with the original certificates. It’s best to
have these documents in the order mentioned in the call letter.

My interview was to be at 12 noon but had to wait till 4.30
pm for the actual call.

As far as the interview itself is concerned, it was all
simple questions about current affairs and willingness to
work in rural areas, my hobbies, etc. They weren’t asking
any tough banking questions, maybe because I’m not from a
commerce background.

So, to all you guys and gals out there all the best! Don’t
worry and good luck!

and ya forgot to tell u ... no neeed to worry abt
certificates ...attested xeroz will do ..on my date of
interview i saw lot of ppl without originals and some even
dont have attestation of anythng...but it wud be
prefferable with all documents ..may b my verification
members r too good.

my suggestions:

1. dont go deep in any subjects for preparation as thy
will ask simple questions.

2. dont write too many things in ur hobby coloumn in
bio... u can expect lot of questions frm ur biodata.

3. have a full knowledge on ur hobbies...donn write
anything which u donno,but felt its kool on papers....

4.have a smile on ur face....wish thm as u enter the
room...wait until thy tell u to sit...

5.say thnks whn ur leaving..

6.reach venue before 30 mints..

7.take someone like a frnd with u .... this will help u a
lot if u forget anythng r if u need anythng...donn worry
thy r providing waiting rooms for parents/frnds..

8.take some money with u as thy dont conduct interview as
mentioned on the call leters... u can hav a munch in the
canteeen.(3-4 hrs delay sometimes..)

9.dont try to produce unnecassary certificates like
recommendation letter frm unauthroised persons r
orgonasitions as thy r rejecting thm....thy r of no use...

10.switch off ur mobiless...

11.if u colored ur hair,change it to black urgntly(if ur
color is vibrant).

12.dont keeep too many ornaments r mobiles for display ,
thy donn like it.

13.shave on the last hour before u go to interview... show
a clean face.

14.polish ur shoes... i think dress code carries some
marks..

15.have good knowledge on ur parents proffession.

16.watevr u say,say it confidently.

i dont have much idea abt RTI.But still whatever
info I had I tolod them.
That I will share with you.
RTI:
It is means of filing your PIL.You can file it for many
reasons like
1)To complaint against any officer
2)To know assets of any one
3)Some injustice if done to you.

I think U will have to go to its branch file an application
to the officer.They will sent it to courts.
They dont charge any fee but for posting ur application
post officers charge rs10 as RTI application fee.
I know only this much Nalini.

friends guide me......

I have one doubt in BIO-DATA-CUM-ATTESTATION FORM.
In first page, top right corner, i have pasted my photo.
There gazetted officer (who signs in IDENTITY CERTIFICATE),
has signed and put his seal in that photo.
Is it a error or not?(because there i have
to sign (self attesation)

I have a problem

'SBI' asked me to present the following certificates before
the interview board issued from the competent authority
(employer) .........i am in Delhi Police



1. Character Certificate from present employer( Delhi
Police)

2. Testimonials and Service certificate in respect of
present employment (Delhi Police)



But I have a problem regarding present these certificates
as I have been transferred to other unit/office of Delhi
Police and the official record is not transferred due to
some technical/administrative reasons.

I have the official permission for this recruitment and I
have applied for these documents but I am unable to obtain
these certificates with in the time due to the above said
reason.

So I have a request to you to kindly tell me the right
approach regarding my problem because SBI clearly mentioned
in the call later that



"THE UNDER-MENTIONED DOCUMENTS CERTIFICATES SHOULD BE
PRODUCED IN ORIGENAL FOR VERIFICATION AT THE TIME OF
INTERVIEW FAILING WHICH YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED FOR
INTERVIEW."



Please tell me, can I submit these documents later and any
kind of affidavit should be produced in place of these
documents/certificates.

What does Right to Information mean?
It includes the right to -
inspect works, documents, records.
take notes, extracts or certified copies of documents or
records.
take certified samples of material.
obtain information in form of printouts, diskettes,
floppies, tapes, video cassettes or in any other electronic
mode or through printouts.[S.2(j)]

What is the Application Procedure for requesting
information?
Apply in writing or through electronic means in English or
Hindi or in the official language of the area, to the PIO,
specifying the particulars of the information sought for.
Reason for seeking information are not required to be
given;
Pay fees as may be prescribed (if not belonging to the
below poverty line category).


What is the time limit to get the information?
30 days from the date of application
48 hours for information concerning the life and liberty of
a person
5 days shall be added to the above response time, in case
the application for information is given to Assistant
Public Information Officer.
If the interests of a third party are involved then time
limit will be 40 days (maximum period + time given to the
party to make representation).
Failure to provide information within the specified period
is a deemed refusal.


What is the fee?
Application fees to be prescribed which must be reasonable.
If further fees are required, then the same must be
intimated in writing with calculation details of how the
figure was arrived at;
Applicant can seek review of the decision on fees charged
by the PIO by applying to the appropriate Appellate
Authority;
No fees will be charged from people living below the
poverty line
Applicant must be provided information free of cost if the
PIO fails to comply with the prescribed time limit.


What could be the ground for rejection?
If it is covered by exemption from disclosure. (S.8)
exemption is given on 11 basis mostly related to
confidnetiality, harm to someone'e life, security of the
soverignity.

If it infringes copyright of any person other than the
State. (S.9)

hi friends
I had finished interview @kochi on 18th. most of
the questions were from English literature since i am a
graduate in English.I could answer most of the questions.
it was so simple.u.s financial crisis, favourite
writer,interesting recent news,strength,qualities of a bank
clerk....were the other areas. They also asked about
National Service scheme since i have produced its
certificate as extra curricular activity.They also asked
interests other than literature. I said sociology.They were
informal.... It was not difficult.It lasted only for ten
minutes. there is nothing to worry.you should prepare your
subject well.after that study questions on banking.I am
really thankful to those who shared their valuable
knowledge and experience in this blog.May god bless you!

Dear frends, I completed my SBI clerical interview today, the following questions are asked to me, 1. About yourself. 2. What u did after ur graduation.(They stressed mainly on this and cross questioned like reason behind the failure of ur trails) 3. How do u think u r suitable for banking sector 4. what made u to choose this sector 5. Todays news paper 6 what r the qualities required for a clerk job aspect, It went around 12-13 minutes, they will cross question u in every, be prepared for that. hi,please help me..i have sbi clerical interview on 3rd may.iam confused abt biodata cum attestation form..we need attest the original form which sbi send to us...after attestation we hae to take 3 copies or we have to attest only on xerox copy of the form after filling(not on original)

MY QUESTION ????? I have written SBI Clerk exam on july 13th 2008 & got selected. During medical test(done during December 2008), they have ?s on my medical fitness & put my appointment on hold. Am still waiting(its been six months) for the response from crpd sbi regarding my joining? I found this forum useful after seeing lots of views on the similar subject. Friends - now,please help me know how many days/months/years more they take to decide on my career in sbi. When i call the concerned local head, they ask me to wait for the reply from crpd,mumbai - they donot have concrete answer or much to say about the issue. Any suggestions/views are very much appreciated. AM SICK OF WAITING & confused at the moment. Thanks :)
