A clerk multiplied a number by ten when it should have been divided by ten.The ans he got was 100.w..

Answer / girija

Let the number be X,
Instead of dividing the number by 10, i.e.,X*10.
he got the result as 100,
so, (X*10)=100
X=100/10
X=10.
BUt he has to divide X by 10,
so, X/10=10/10=1.
obviously the answer is 1.
