There is a 5digit no. 3 pairs of sum is eleven each. Last digit is 3 times the first one. 3 rd dig..

let first digit be 'X'
then 5th digit is '3X'
let 2nd digit be 'Y'
then 3rd digit is 'Y-3'
and 4th digit is 'Y+4'
then the no is '(X)(Y)(Y-3)(Y+4)(3X)'
from the above we can say 3X<=9
so X<=3 and any of the digit in the number is <=9
and also given that 3 pairs sum is 11...
so make trial and error..

if X=1...any of the no is 10 which is wrong trial....

if X=2...then let Y+4=9 ==> Y=5
then no is 25296

first pair 2+9=11
second pair 2+9=11
third pair 5+6=11

let the five digit number is
ABCDE
it is given that
E=3*A .......(1)
C=B-3 .......(2)
D=B+4 .......(3)
if pairs have sum 11 then possible pairs are
9+2
8+3
7+4
6+5
thus the required number contains only these 8 digits
from this we can say that AE,BC and DB cannot be the pairs
by applying operation eq(3)-eq(2) we get
D-C=7 .......(4)
for eq(4) let us check the first possible combination 9+2
obviously this satisfies eq(4)with D=9 and C=2
now from eq(2)and eq(3)
B=5
so our number is A529E
now the possible values of A and E are 2 and 6
so from eq(1) it is clear that A=2 and E=6
thus the required number is 25296 which satisfies the given conditions.

(a)(b)(b-3)(b+4)(3a)

(b - 3) + (b + 4) = 2b + 1 as b = 5
a + (b + 4) = a + 9 so a = 2
