The best path in the EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol) protocol is called the Feasible Successor (FS). It's a backup route that meets the feasibility condition, which means it has a lower successor metric than the current successor but is still feasible, i.e., its variance is less than or equal to the current successor's composite metric.
