Explain the terms specialization and generalization.
Answer / Abhinav Kodesia
Specialization is a process in DBMS where a more specific entity type is derived from a more general entity type by adding attributes or constraints. Generalization, on the other hand, is a reverse process where a less specific entity type is formed by merging more specific entity types into a single parent entity type by removing attributes or constraints. This concept is used in inheritance hierarchies.
