ComboBox > Dropdown Menu option, we can select only one option.
List Box > Select Multiple Option at a time.

Combo box:
1.We can select only one option from list.
2.We can add,edit ,select info at run time
3.We have only drop down facility
4.we can't use check box within combo box.
List box:
1.We can select multiple option from list.
2.we can't add,edit,select info at run time.
3.we have both drop up & drop down facility.
4.we can use checkbox within listbox.

1)Combo Box is an editable box.
2)combo box is a combination of textbox and a listbox.
FOR LIST BOX :-
1)listbox is not an editable box.
2)listbox has only an textarea.

in combo box the options available to the user are found in
the dropdown, and user can also type any text in the combo
box..
in list box user can see all the option at a time without a
dropdown, when user enters any alphabet the control moves
to the option that is staring with alphabet typed by the
user.

throw combobox we select one item ofter selcting the item
control out of combobox(i.e goes to next step).
but in the case of list boc we selct number of values.when
we select any value after also it still with in listbox.
i.e in listbox how many items we select all it takes.but in
case of combobox it take only lastly selected item.

1) Combo Box:
a. User should be able to enter text in it.
b. Pressing the arrow should give list of options available
to the user. List can be scrollable but user should not be
able to type in.
c. Pressing Ctrl-F4 should open the list box.
d. Pressing a letter should bring the first item in the list
starting with the same letter.
e. Items should be in alphabetical
order in any list.
f. Selected item should be displayed on the list.
g. There should be only one blank space in the
dropdown list.
2) List Boxes:
a. Should allow single select, either by mouse or
arrow keys.
b. Pressing any letter should take you to the first element
starting with that letter
c. If there are view/open button, double clicking on icon
should be mapped to these behaviour.
d. Make sure that all the data can be seen using
scroll bar.
