What is the principal of particle size analyzer?brief explain instrumentation?
Answer / Naman Garg
The principle of a Particle Size Analyzer (PSA) is based on scattering or diffraction phenomena. The most common types are Laser Diffraction Analyzers and Microscopic Analyzers. In Laser Diffraction Analyzers, a laser beam passes through the sample suspension, and the scattered light is measured to determine the particle size distribution. Microscopic Analyzers use an optical microscope to observe and analyze individual particles. The instrumentation for both types includes a light source, optics for collecting and analyzing scattered or diffracted light, and computer software to process the data.
