A sweep account is an account set up at a bank or other financial institution where the funds are automatically managed between a primary cash account and secondary investment accounts.

But its difference from FD,
Sweep a/c whenever Main account balance will low automatically amount will transfer from sweep to Main Bank Account.
We can earn interest from sweep also in day terms.
