A batsman average was 15.at last innings he took 23 runs
then his average became 16.how much run he should take to

if he get ave 16 runs add every 1 runs his ave 16
now there have 8runs then the number of matchs will be 8
including last match now calculate 16*8=128 18*8=144
144-128=16 now the answer :23+16=39

solving , we get number of matches (m) as 7 (excluding last
match)
so he shud hit 39 runs in last innings to ake average to 18

(15*x+ 23)/x+1=16 than x=7; but the question is what runs he should make than 23 that the avg reached to 18 than
(15*x+y)/x+1=18 and put x=7 ans of y is 39...so ans is 39

At his last innings, (15x+23)/(x+1)=16=>x=7;
At his next innings, i.e at the 8th innings,
(15x+23+y)/(x+2)=18; substituting x=7,we get y=34;
Therefore he has to score 34 runs to get an average of 18.
