as 14+11=25,if we sub 11 from it we get 14
and again 14+6=20,if we sub 12 from it we get 8
which is the required series,it seems i cracked it.

it will be 9 bcos from the right side 12+8= 20, 14+6= 20,
similarly 11+9= 20

On a trek like this, each person can only carry enough rations for five days and the farthest we can travel in one day is 30 miles. Also, the city is 120 miles from the starting point.
