SCSI-1 supports a maximum of 7 or 15 devices (depending on cable type), SCSI-2 supports up to 16 devices, while SCSI-3 allows for more devices based on the specific variant. For example, Ultra2 SCSI-3 supports up to 8 devices, and Ultra320 SCSI-3 supports up to 64.
