Sale during import by Transfer of Documents:
Many importers, acting as agents, import goods and the documents are transferred to ultimate buyer in India. Such buyer usually clears goods from Customs. This is ‘sale during import’ if the documents are transferred (i.e. endorsed in favour of buyer) before goods are cleared from customs the same is called sale of goods in course of import into India.
