if u fire the following command u will get the following
output for the sparse root zone.........
zonecfg -z <zonename> info
output:::::
inherent-pkg dir=..........
if u find inherent-pkg it says that the zone is sparse root
zone.for the whole root zone only dir will be diplayed.no
message u can find inherent-pkg for the whole root zone.This
is 100% right answer

Go to child zone /usr/lib or /(root) ,try to create a a
file using touch test1.When its givig error message like
cannot create readonly filesystem.Then it is a whole
root.If file created then it is a sparse root
