Service tax is an indirect tax on services rendered with in
India and abroad. It is an inclusive defination. The
current rate is 10% + 2% education cess on service tax. It
is not applicable in the state of Jammu & Kashmir.

The service tax is an one of the indirect tax which was
paid by public to the govt through the services recieved by
them on specified services. Bills paid for transportation
or air travels, bill paid to service engineer, telephone
services etc are come under authorities to collect service
tax from the payer.

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF ACCOUNTING
sir, i m working in an ngo as accountant but new. pleas clear my doubt in tally. suppose 'a' salary is 5000. he taken 3000 advance from salary and not returned. i paid a cheque next month rest 2000. 'b' salary is 10000, taken 5000 advance from salary and returned so i paid him 10000 total salary. what all to do in tally. is the following procedure is ok or not?
