Hi,
I went to the USA in Feb 2008 on an H4 visa, there i
applied and got an H1 visa. However for some reason i had
to get back to my country- India in Nov 2008 -
Now, i am going back to the USA next month as my husband
has got a job opportunity there. I have a few queries :
If i go on my H4 Visa, will my H1 visa still be valid?
Should i go for a stamping againg for my H4 visa. My H4
will expire only in the later months, do i still need to
get it stamped in my scenerio
I do not have a job currently in the US. can i go on my
dependant Visa as my husband is in the US. Look for a job
and then get my Visa stamped .
Please suggest.

Your questions are complex, and it's best to consult with an immigration attorney or a reliable source for accurate advice. However, I can try to provide some general guidance:
1. H1 visa: Since you have already been granted the H1 visa, it remains valid unless it expires or is revoked. You should check the expiration date and ensure that it's still valid when you return to the USA.
2. H4 visa: If your current H4 visa has an expiration date in the future, there's usually no need to get a new stamp for reentry as long as you are returning within the validity period of the visa. It is essential to bring your H4 visa, passport, and any other relevant documentation with you when traveling back to the USA.
3. Job search: In most cases, it's possible to enter the USA on an H4 visa and look for employment opportunities. However, you should ensure that you meet all eligibility requirements for working in the US, such as having a valid Social Security Number (SSN) or an Employment Authorization Document (EAD). Consult with your employer or an immigration attorney to understand the specific process.
