How we can use the database checkpoint on a java web based application in which the database connectivity is done using JDBC->Pure Java type (in this type there is no need to create a DSN). At present in QTP we can fetch database values using checkpoint only through DSN. Is there any programming for this if we don't have DSN (ODBC)

you are recording on "WINDOW 1", say it has a link if you click on that, that leads you to "WINDOW 2". If you do any manipulations on "WINDOW 2" that are automatically updated in to "WINDOW 1". But "WINDOW 1" is currently invisible. But the updations in "WINDOW 1" must also be recorded as a script in QTP. The best Example is if you update your resume in JOB STREET portal it actually happens in other window, but the previous window is automatically updated. I want to test the applications installed on the client machine using the QTP installed on the server machine.But the requirement is like that client machines do not have there own CPU's they are just dummy workstations on which the applications are excesible.So where all places QTP should be insalled in theis client server architecture.How many licenses required of what type.Please explain in details .Its urgent.
