A computer network is made of computers which are linked to
one another with communication lines (network cables, etc.)
and hardware elements (network adapters, as well as other
equipment for ensuring that data travels correctly). The
physical arrangement — that is, the spatial configuration
of the network — is called the physical topology

what is topologies
ans - topologies are physical structure of computer
networking architecture; is knows as topologies
there are many types of topology use in networking -
1 bus -cabel user coaxit cable use, bnc connector, thik or
thin cable coaxit
2 star -utp cabel use in star topology hub or switch use
for network connectivity connector use rj-45
3 ring= centerilized device used to connect the network
5 mest= There are several advantages to a mesh network
topology. First, it is fault tolerant; since there is no
gateway, nodes can connect to each other with no regard to
the state of the rest of the network. In addition, nodes
can create their own paths through the network because
there is no gateway computer.
One disadvantage to a mesh topology is that setup time can
be quite time consuming

Answer / amandeep singh
Network topology is the arrangement of nodes (device) of a
network which includes its Physical as well as Logical
structure.
A Local Area Network (LAN) is one of the good example that
exhibits both physical and logical structure of a network.
There are six basic types of topology in networks on basis
of Physical Topology:
Bus topology
Star topology
Ring topology
Mesh topology
Tree topology
Hybrid topology

The Graphical Representation of a network is called Topology.
According to the requirement of accessing data speed and
Cost we can define any of the above type of topology to
design our network.
Bus Topology :Through Backbone cable all the computers are
connected via T-Connector and at the both the end of
Backbone cable Terminator device is attached to indicate
ending of the Network.
If backbone cable goes down,Whole network will go down.
Ring Topology : Every node is connected in ring form so,if
any node goes down, whole network will be effected.
Star Topology :If Central Network Device is goes
down,Network will goes down else most organization which
require medium scale speed and Cost effective network uses
Star Topology.
Mesh : Each node is connected to all the remaining node.It
is developed by using Fiber Optic cable. Its Provide fast and
reliable communication but its a 10 times heighr in cost of
normal technology.
hybrid : is a combination of any 2 or more topologies to
create a network.
Ring

Answer / sijin p
Topology defines the way in which the network is laid off.
it is of rifferent types.
1.bus topology
here there is a central cable connecting with different
nodes.
2.star topology
here different nodes are connected to a central hub.
