In project testing, system will be build based on client
requirements and the requirements will be given by the
client whereas in product testing, system will be build
based on domain knowledge and the requirements will be
gathered by SME/Domain specialists since no clients will be
there

Project Based Testing - we get the entire requirements from
the Client.Perform the testing according to the client
requirements and return back the with bug free application
to the Client.
Product based testing - we design a product in such a
manner it fullfills completely for a single domian.
I was involved in Product Testing for the Product :
MyFotoBiz.In this product it was our business analayst whio
performed entire analysis related to photography domain and
prepared the SRS.
It was then sent to our higher officiala who knows
completly about the domain. Then after approval the dev cum
testing work started simultaneously.
we foolowed agile methodology in doing the product based
testing where in we have implemented the appilcation on a
sprint basis where in we needed to attend scrum calls on a
daily absis.
that is all i know....
plz do update me if i am wrong??

I think Produce based testing is nothing but testing a
product by model customers at model customer site and it is
applicable to products and not applications. To meet the
market demand we prepare products and it is of more general
in nature and not keeping any one individual client.
Produce based testing is also know as Beta testing.

I think u know product and project. In both we go to same
type of testing but there is no difference between them. So
I think there is no product base testing seperately. If u
know please tell me. hari_babu2050@yahoo.co.in

how load testing is different from regression testing?
You need to plan a test project to qualify an application composed of many individual components. Referring to the scenario above, which phases do you expect to take longer than usual?
1.Unit testing ->integration testing->system testing->UAT in this where do u do the functional testing & regression testing? if these two done in each phase why should not mentioned in that ? 2.What are the difference b/w client & server? 3.While doing regression testing one bug raised due to functionality dependency, what is the bug status that one?
