The GUI map is actually the sum of one or more GUI map
files. There are two modes for organizing GUI map files.
1. Global GUI Map file: a single GUI Map file for the
entire application
2. GUI Map File per Test: WinRunner automatically creates a
GUI Map file for each test created.
GUI Map file is a file which contains the windows and the
objects learned by the WinRunner with its logical name and
their physical description.

GUI map editor is a utility of mercury interactive
winrunner.It helps winrunner to recognize objects in AUT .
And when its saved...it saved as .gui files which is GUI
map file

While creating test data for testing an application, where exactly test data should be crated as in excel file or can we crate test data in database ?
There is a web portal that has been tested and working properly. Now a new module called as the "online shopping module" had been added. Ther are two search pages , a normal search and an advanced search page.
