In my understanding, the question is to differentiate the
roles of QA manager and PM.
QA Manager is responsible for the quality of the product or
project where he and his team is working for where as a
project manager is responsible for project activities
according to BRD or SRS.
QA Manager will handle a team,in most of cases, and team is
responsible for verifying the product or project for
meeting the requirements of customer 100% and also checks
suitability at depicted scenario of customer at initial
stages of project, which was developed by project team and
monitor by project manager. Hence, QA Manager is
responsible for quality of the product and he will ensure
this by having peer reviews and other all sorts of reviews
to ensure the quality of the product.

the question is in complete r u preferring project manger or
project.
if project and qa manger then its completly differnt.
if qa manger with pm then pm is the person who is
responsible for the completion of the project with in given
time and with all the things as required (brs and srs
document) he manges ppl to work for this cause.
the qa manger is the persons looks in to the out come of the
project is fit for the business requirements of the project
is 100% done or not with his team of quality engginers.

Quality Assurance Manager does the Marketing for the
product. Sells the product before its even completed.
He basically Assures the customer of a Quality Product.
Whereas a Project Manager gathers customer specification
through his QA manager and develops the product from start
to finish with his team and ensures that the product which
is to be rolled out is Defect free (i.e. readily useable).
The Project Manager should pay back the faith of his QA
Manager in selling the project to the customer.

my friend has done one project using .NET framework with C# coding and backend SQL Server 2005. In it, he has prepared and execute the test cases and stored that in the centralized database. in software testing, Do the testers do like this or use excel sheet to store the test cases? tell me .... i have so confuse.. pls anybody answer me as quickly as possible

Anyone can please inform me about how to write test cases for any mathematical calculations. Say for example, we have a formula in a given scenario for calculating the interest. The given formula for interest is: (principle * 5)/(12 * 100) In this case, the principle amount may vary. Would like to know how many test cases can be written for this scenario and how can we decide over this. I will be very thankful for the answer....
