BRS means reconciliation between cash book with bank pass book. It is made when no matching between cash balance as per cash book with cash balance as per pass book.

A BANK RECONCILIATION STATEMENT IS A STATEMENT WHERE THE TWO
BALANCES i.e THE CASH BOOK BAL. & THE PASS BOOK BALANCE TALLY.
THE DEBIT & THE CREDIT SIDE OF BOTH A/C SHOULD BE TALLIED.IF

BRS stands for Bank Reconciliation Statement. It is a
statement which is prepared to find out the reasons of
difference between the bank collum of cash book and bank
statement (pass book details). Double entry system is not
applicable for preparing BRS.
