will get BRS & FRS documents and starts preparing the Test
cases for the application.when the Build was released
whether the Testing team will execute only the written Test
cases (or) they may update further testcases

Yes The software engineer will execute the test cases if they update the test cases if required for E.g. When ever new requirements will be added to the application it need to update the testcaes

like LOGIN ,receiving mail,sending mail(completed)
LOGOUT,.....(INCOMPLETE)
while preparing Logout and other modules we are able to
testing softwarebuild(when there is no major releation b/w
completed and un completed modulues)

V can't update the Test Cases once they frezzed.
If some CR is implemeted or code has been changed only in
this case v can update the test cases.
But as per as above question,in this case v cant update the
test cases after the Build has been releasd as none of the
CR implemneted or code was changed.
