1>.In the smoke testing test engineer test the basic feature works ory testing is not.
IN sanitry testing feature is tested in deep by test engineers.
2>.smoke testing is scripted whereas sanitry testing is unscripted.

smoke testing:this testing is performed by development team to ensure that the build is working as per requirement to release in to the test environment.

sanitry testing:this testing is performed in test environment by the testers,and this test is performed as soon as the build is released in to the test environment and only positive testing is performed.
ex:yahoo login page:during sanity testing correct id and pswrd is entered and check the status i.e., login has done or not
