IN C18 COLUMN 18 CARBONS ATTACHED TO SILICA GROUP ,AND IN C8 COLUMN 8 CARBONS ATTACHED TO SILICA GROUP,AND ALSO C18 COLUMN HAS MORE HYDROPHOBIC THAN C8 COLUMN DUE TO LONGER CHAIN OF CARBONS. C 18 WIDELY USED BCOZ IT GIVES BETTER SEPARATION.
