Question { IBM, 7952 }

What are the GAP analysis you identified in your project?

Answer

The gap found between the “as is study” and the “to be study” is called as gap analyses, or the requirement of the client which is not possible in the standard sap is called as gap analysis…
EX-1: EXAMPLE -The client requirement is 3 new incoterms required to calculate freight charges to customers.
Incoterms need to be maintain in customer master data
correctly.
Solution option 1-(high level description)--
suggest to create 3 new incoterms like-
1. ZFC -Freight country india
2. ZFM -Freight metropolitan
3. ZFR -Freight rush order
Then assign these 3 new incoterms to the customer master
record, using the existing key combination sales
org/DC/Incoterms,use the existing access seqence and create new condition record for the freight condition.
AS a result Incoterm is autometically populated in the order entry screen which avoids the manual workby order
management, thus increase order processing efficiency &
minimum errors .
Solution option 2-
Manual entry of the incoterms at the time of the creation of sales order .
Therefore ,with the above analysis we do not recommend using the manual method ,So solution option 1 has used for this gap.

EX-2: Before implemeting the sap legacy model you might have a number of sales order in place created through sales forec.com and it might be a trobule some in creating the revenue account WHICH WAS Identifed and with the help of sap legacy model we created couppled all te sales order in a single doc and thus it was must convient in posting the sales doc billoing valeues in prepation of credit or debit invoice

EX-3:
In the delivery model once the delivery was done we used to immeditely go in for PGI and had to be mainted each
individualy Once sap module was put into pratice we created the dleivery schdule byt adding the coumns for routing and transprt thus the whoe porcess was found to be more systematic and frinendly.

Question { 6267 }

can anybody explain the following procedure.
1. Reverse calculation based Pricing procedure
2. Forward calculation based Pricing procedure

Answer

Reverse Pricing Model refers to a model that allows the
consumer to establish his/her requirements and offer those
requirements for bid by the seller. Thus rather than the
seller marketing a product to the buyer, the reverse is
occuring. Priceline has pioneered this model in the
consumer marketplace, using airline tickets as the product.
This model further reflects the changing power in the
market from the supplier to the consumer. When this model
can be effectively combined with the group buying model one
can envision powerful groups of buyers creating interesting
demands on companies.

Question { IBM, 20835 }

plz send how to do testing in sap R/3.... i need the testing
process in SAP SD.....

Answer

i agree with Gogineni and
mainly there are 5 different types of testing's are there...
1) unit/funtional testing: it is normally a first testing
phase, we carryout in order to check if the perticular unit
of code config is working properly. and is the lowest level
of testing...
2)integration testing: this testing is carried out to
execute the end to end scenario's . this is to test the
integration between other modules with r/3 and integration
with 3rd party system...(this phase builds a condidence
that the solution is complite).
3) regration testion: in this phase we will test,
previously workig functions have failed as a result of new
development.
4) performance testing: in this phase we will test the
response time of the key, business process and
transaction...(this is tested i testing tools, like load
runner, win runner etc..to simulate large number of users
and voluminuous data.)
5) CAT(costumer/user acceptence test): this testing is
often the final testing before go-live. usually the end
user test the functionalities before accepting the
development. (consultants gove support the customer's in
this phase)

Question { iGate, 13658 }

What do you mean by Multidimensional Pricing? Also what do
you mean by Two dimensional Pricing? Explain in detail with
help of Business Scenarios & live examples.

Answer

The multi-dimentional pricing is the pricing maintained
based on the many dimentions...
EX: for the fright condition type, if we want to maintain
the price:
for 100 kms for 200 kg for particular material.
for 200 kms for 200 kg for the same material different price
for 300 kms for 200 kg for the same material different price.
for 300 kms for 400 kg for the same material different price.

in the above example the price is based on different
criterias for thes we cannot maintain a single condintion
type and the single condition record....
To define these multi-dimensional conditions, several scales
are assigned to a condition. The scales can be defined as
separate data, independently of the respective condition,
and then assigned to several condition types. When you
create a condition record, the scales assigned to the
condition type appear as default values. You can, however,
replace the proposed scales by other scales.

To depict a two-dimensional freight condition, assign two
scales to a condition type. You can assign a maximum of
three scales to depict a three-dimensional condition.
