Question { 4236 }

defination of loads

Answer

there r basically 2 types of loads...

1.STATIC LOAD

- CONSTANT POWER (induction motor, dc motor & such kind
of machines)
- CONSTANT CURRENT ( electronics ckts)

- CONSTANT VOLTAGE (bulb)

2.DYNAMIC LOAD

Question { TCS, 6841 }

what is voltage

Answer

if we consider a water pipeline system in analogy of
electrical system then the pressure ( force ) of water is
considered as a voltage and quantity of water can be taken
as current...

Question { Apollo, 7934 }

why transformer ratinh is in KVA????/

Answer

Cu loss of transformer depends upon current I and iron loos
depends upon voltage V...So as we can say that the total
losses of the transformer depend upon VA (volt-ampere) and
independent of phase angle between V & I (i.e. pf
angle)...so transformer rating is in kVA & nt in KW...

Question { Hofincons, 4782 }

what is the difference between equipment earth and system
earth.

Answer

in equipment earthing the whole appratus is being earth in

Question { 5663 }

what is apparant power and reactive power

Answer

whn any machine is supplied with some source, some amount of
power is consumed by that machine...the total amount of
power consumed by that machine is called APPERANT POWER...
this apperant power is mainly devided into two powers...

1.ACTIVE POWER 2.REACTIVE POWER

active power is tht power that actually utilized and
delivers the output (usually mechanical) is given by that
machine while reactive power is that power which is required
by the machine but which is not useful at all.so apperant
power is the vectorial summation of active & reactive power.

APPERANT POWER= ACTIVE POWER + REACTIVE POWER.(vector sum)
