we ll apply DC across it a very high magnitude of voltage
will appear accros the winding ,as in case of Transformers
if we ll apply dc voltage wingings will get burnt.....

Question { 5285 }

considering the 3phase and single phase ac system the load
applied and the volage given is same...will the current
differs for both the cases are it wil remain same?

Answer

I think current will depend on star-delta of 3phase and due
to that Vph will vary and in accordance current will vary.....

Question { 2573 }

Can we use the ceiling fan regulator to run drill machine having 2000 watt power consumption?

Answer

First of all every induction motor has a fixed Tem, i.e. Maximum Torque and to deliver 2000 watt of power a motor has to produce corresponding torque (Power=Torque* rpm). And N=120*f/P so rpm can be at max 3000 with 2 pole machine. So to develop 2000 watt of power it is the requirement of torque rather than simply the speed.
