Question { HCL, 38857 }

why earth hole size is biggest in plug point?

Answer

earthing is also use to divert the short-circuit current to
the earth as we knw short circuit current has high value
which is approximately 6 times the rated value so that is
normat rating conductor we use the it get burn or break and
protection could not achive
that is the original reason for it

an electrical
transmission,distribution,utilisation on low level is yeild
electronics
by using semiconductors controlling electrons or elecrical

Question { Bhel, 17450 }

it is clear that volts equal to the current as per ohms law.
is it appliable to the AC power or only for DC. if it is
appliacable to AC in transformers when voltage increases
the voltage decreases ????? why??????????????

Answer

Ohm's law holds in both AC as well as in DC......
Ohms law state that at room temp the voltage is directly
praportional to current
and R is constant
but in case of transformer impedance is change from primary
to secondary so this relation not obey the situation
but the principle of transformer it transfer the energy
from one ckt to another ckt without changing frequency
means constant power in both side or equal power
power=v*i
so if v increase I decrease

Question { NTPC, 45001 }

why we use only sine wave in ac why we do not use other wave
forms

Answer

actually the design of alternator which give power to us in
only for sinewave or cosine wave, bt when v use to generate
cosine wave only 3/5 of angle can rotae smooth...... coz
wile 2nd phase start it neutralise second so no resultant
force will be there for generation of power............
