Answer / manohar

In My Point of View, Input CST Means Purchase Of goods from
Other State that is Income to that State Where we are
purchasing. Output CST is income of our State. So, Input CST
is not Adjustable With Output CST, But You have chance to
Adjust Output CST with Input Vat(Why Because Output CST is
income Of our State So we can Adjust it with ITC if You Had)

how to calculate cst? is it adjust with input cst and output cst? give an example...

Answer / puneet grover

Vat is a state tax whereas CST is central tax, so vat is income of state govt and CST is income of central govt. Vat input is allowed input against CST output because it encourages purchases within state hence increasing the revenue of the state, whereas CST purchases is not favorable for the state so it is not allowed input against vat, but CST input can adjusted against CST payable as both are central taxes, so if you have benefitted central govt while purchasing so during sales outside state while paying to central govt, it's advantage can be taken, it's a simple logic, so CST input is allowed against CST output.
