unmount the file system
destroy the volume group if the disk group is only alloted
to this perticular disk
cd /etc/vx/bin/vxdiskunsetup -C disk path to bring out from
veritas control

if u want to delete the disk

vxdisk remove disk path

Before removing the disk, ensure the disk does not contain
the data needed.

If u use vxdiskadm: u need to select " remove a disk"

In command line:
# vxdg -g dg_name rmdisk disk_name
# vxdiskunsetup -C device_tag(logical device name)

if this disk in the disk group use vxdiskadm and choose
option 2
If you want to replace it, than you have to follow a few
more steps
