Simply replace the first number by its square root.
(25) 5 - 2 = 3
(100) 10 x 2 = 20
(36) 6 / 3 = 2

Drop the digit in the tens position from the first number.
(2) 5 - 2 = 3
1 (0) 0 x 2 = 20

You will get the same answer on removing left and right
