Hi...APPSC is not dependent on what percentage u get, there
is prelims exam to test your GK and your arithmetic skills
and mains to test your vast knowledge in civcs and
economics.First get the syllabus and for prelims prepare
9,10th geography,history,civics,economics at higher
level, for mains it has 5 papers each has two to three
sections covering civics,indian history,andhra pradesh
history,indian economics,andhrapradesh economics,science and
technology,arithmetic,general english.My suggestion is to
take coaching for mains and prepare for prelims by
yourself. Also you need keep a tab on current affairs in
national and international importance which also carries
around 20 marks.
This is unlike software jobs just sitting in chair and
feeling as if they were down-to-earth kind, pointing to guy
who replied above also its not that easy as getting to s/w
job,Its a unique chance to serve public. If you are that
creamy try atleast to select for civils :)

There is no minimum mark its enough if u have passed graduation..... medium/ language does not matter but material is best available for telugu medium..... but if u struggle hard in telugu medium better opt for english medium........ u may need coaching but if u have sound grip in gk can go away with self preparation........

Have just read lavanya's answer to your question, frankly am
really surprised to learn that there is no qualifying mark
AT ALL. Ming boggling!!! Then no wonder to guess why we meet
such Quality of Employees in the Govt. offices. Certainly
this is not the way to do it. And no wonder why most of the
youngsters like me stay miles away from the Govt. jobs. Why?
Why can't Govt. attract the top cream of talent in good jobs
(say at least in Group - I). Maybe officials are scared to
open to these jobs to the top talent or it's just the plain
bureaucratic red tape and political nonsense!
