This file contains a list of devices(& their physical
addresses) whos modules have been loaded by the kernel.

The /etc/path-to-inst contains instance names, instance
names are the kernel abbreviated names for referring the
device drivers

physical device name of each device on the solaris system .
This file is read by devfsadmd daemon at the time of system.

For each device, the system records its physical name and instance name
in the /etc/path_to_inst file. These names are used by the kernel to
identify every possible device. This file is read only at boot time.
