how do u know the defect report is correct or not?

Only way to find out whether defect report is correct or
not is review process.
Get it review form senior guy from the project.
Also make sure that you provide exact detailed step for
reproduction of bug /defect along with screenshots,
debugger stak file and if possible AVI file using screen
recording utility.

To force the tester to make a screen shot for all the bugs
he found.I think, this is write way to check.

If the report is prepared manually from the defects raised
then there is a possibility of error in the report. The
best way to pull the defect report. For this try to follow
the test management tool like Test director or tracking
tools like bugzilla to log the defects.
Once after pulling the report do a review by having check
points.
This will ensure the report with high accuracy

Hi I would like to ask a general question, I finished my post graduation(arts)a long back say 2000. I have a diploma in IT. And I have completed a course in testing(2010). What are my chances of getting a job in testing. I really have an apitude for testing and if given an opputunity I will do well. But I have been sent away after apitude tests which I know I did well(3 or 4 might have gone wrong), hr rounds. Can u tell me if I will get a job at all. Really I feel very let down. I wanted a good defect tracking system and had selected one when one of my friends suggested Zephyr 2.0 being a good test management system that too with an integrated defect tracking tool. Would like to know from those who have used it whether Zephyr is a good investment?
