On a given day, a bank had 16000 cheques returned by customers. Inspection of the first 800 cheque..

Answer / aathi

It is given for every 800 cheques 100 are error

so (800-100) 700 error free

total 16000 cheques

so dividing them into 800 in each we get (16000/800) 20

so 20 sets of cheques (each 800) where each set has 700
error free

so 20*700 14000 is the answer

Inspection of the 1st 800 cheques indicated that 100 cheques had errors
(800-100)=700 error free cheques are immediately for data processing

On a given day, a bank had 16000 cheques returned by customers. Inspection of the first 800 cheque..

Answer / harikrishnan

for old price
Hd tape = (3/4)*1440 = 1080
Hd tape + Reg tape = 1440
(3/4)*1440 + Reg tape = 1440
SO, Reg tape = 360
HD tape = 1080
no. of reg tape = 360/24 = 15
no. of HD tape = 1080/30 = 36
For new price, Hd tape savings = (30-28) = 2
Reg tape savings = 24-23 = 1
Total savings = (36*2)+(15*1) = 87

Note : here the twist in question is Rs.1440 is the expense of both reg and HD tapes. and not reg tapes alone..so be careful..
