Swami Ramdas was not Guru of Shivaji Maharaj.
In fact there is no proof of their meet in history. It is
only tell by Maharashtrian Bramhin people that he (Ramdas &
Dado Konddev Kulkarni) was guru of Shivaji Maharaj.

Shivaji Maharaj's Mother Jija & Father Shahaji Raje was real
Guru of Shivaji Maharaj.

I am 100% agree with the answer that Swami Ramdas & Dadoji
was not the guru of Shivaji maharaj. It is told that dodoji
had trained shivaji maharaj the lessons of war. That is not
possible as the person dodoji who has not participated in
any war and there is no evidence shown in the history. So
how could possible that dadoji trained shivaji maharaj.

And one more truth is that the sword given to shivaji
maharaj not by Bhawani mata but by MATA JIJAU for
establishment of SURAJYA not HINDAVI SWARAJYA. Shivaji
maharaj was inspired by mata jijau & was struggling against
castism.

MAHARAJ,in fact ramdas was the spy of moghuls,maharaj and
ramdas never ever meet each other though they belong to
same era,majority of brahmins[including ramdas] never like
and want maharaj to be coronated,they openly opposes his
coronation ceremony.
only rajmata JIJABAI and SHAHAJI raje was the guru of
maharaj,not even dadadoji.maharaj was deeply influnced by
SANT TUKARAM maharaj & his kirtans.....

Swami Ramdas only was the real spiritual guru of Shivaji Maharaj. Those who dont agree with me please answer my few questions (as you are damn confident about the history and denying importance of Ramdas Swami in Shivaji Maharaj's life.
1)Who gifted "Sajjangad" to Swami Ramdas?
2)The residence of Ramdas Swami is at Shivthargarh in Pune district and Shivaji Maharaj's administrative capital Raigad is also in Pune district. Having too close residence, do you people really think that they never met each other atleast once during their whole lifetime?
3)Shivaji Maharaj always used to speak about the 'Maharashtra Dharma' and this phrase was first given by Samartha Ramdas in his shlokas. Now tell, whom Shivaji Raje was following?
4) Many of the historians in Maharashtra (who dont see this from the spectacle of castism & do not hate any community) have mentioned the fact that Ramdas Swami was the guru of Shivaji Maharaj.
Now regarding Dadoji Konddev, there is no issue. Everyone in Maharashtra know that Dadoji Konddev was the teacher of Shivaji Maharaj in sword playing. It is the fault of some of the Marathas in Maharashtra who do not agree the reality as they dont still has became 'Purogami'(who does not obey castism).

I don't completely agree with Harshal...He may be true about
Samarth Ramdas that threre is no proof..But there are proofs
regarding Dadoji...But logically speaking, Samarth Ramdas
and Shivaji Maharaj's era was the same and There is the
possibility that they might have at least met each other.
But wat I personally feel is- Shivaji Maharaj's Mother Jija
& Father Shahaji Raje along with Dadoji were the real Guru
of Shivaji Maharaj.

I think all events in the history cannot be and should not be seen on the criteria of proof. we can see that Europeans Americans respect their history which not only proved but also have great respect about their legendary stories which has no proofs. But they have faith that they are true and show them in cinemas and novels. Because every fact in history cannot be denied as it has no so called proofs. It is like saying that our ancestors --who had told us these historical stories and nourished our generations on these stories about such a great king shivaji and and saints like ramdas and tukaram - -were bluffing.
As per my thinking, Shivaji was Swayambhu (self initiated). He has some born virtues. His mother Jijabai gave him right direction to his virtues and insisted him to bring the Shahaji Raje's dream of Swarajya in reality. His honest servent dadoji helped him in his task and in chieldhood of course he was like a Guru to Shivaji.
There are two opinions about samartha ramdas.
1. He was Shivaji's Guru from the start and shivaji was taking all decisions as per his guidance. Shivaji was his shishya.
2.As there is no proof, shivaji and ramdas has no any relations.
As per my openion, Samartha ramdas was a spiritual yogi but diffenrence is that as like chanyakya he always thought about people and politics and tried his best to awaken people and all maratha sardars at that time against enemies of Hindus Samaj at that time. There may not be proof of everything but when we see the network and Mathas of samarth ramdas all over the india one can imagine the purpose of this network. It is quite possible that shivaji might have taken advantage and samarth knowingly provided all news/helps to him with his network. Because all of the tales cannot be just bluffing. One should use some common sense.
And though not like other ramdasis, Shivaji was may not be actually samartha's disciple, he had great respect about ramdas as he gave him a fort like sajjangad to stay. Shivaji in his life was never been so soft for all deshpandes and patils to hand over a fort to them as that was his policy. But samartha ramdas was very special for him. In later life shivaji may have formally accepted ramdas as a Guru but before that he might have taken help of his network sometimes may be discussed samarth ramdas many time on many issues personally or thorugh others and so must have felt great respect like a Guru for Ramdas throughout this time.
