what is streamining?..

Answer / parmod

When we use graphics or video content on mobile phones/
computers, It takes some time to make buffer. So that whole
data accumulated and presented to the user. This process of
buffering and then displaying data is called streaming.
This helps in smooth movement/ clear visibility of
graphics. Also, this term used for increasing the
resolution of pictures.

what is streamining?..

Answer / pal

A small correction in Bharathi's comments, User cannot save
a streaming file. On selecting a streaming link, the
content will be buffered in temporary memory and will be
played once buffering is completed.
If the file is too large such that it exceeds the
temporary memory the content will be downloaded partially
and played, once playing is completed again buffering
starts and the process contineous till the entire content
is played. But the user cannot save the streamed content to
the local system.
A specialised server is required for streaming. e.g.,the
streaming sites will usually be stored in "rtsp://" links.

what is streamining?..

Answer / bharathi

Streaming is the process of downloading a content from
server. There are many techniques to download a content
eg.downloading progressive downloading,streaming
Downloading refers :Normal download and can be saved in the
local machine, once saved user can play or do operation
whatever he likes.
Progressing downloading,is the another process.Whenever
user selects a content it starts buffering and the same
will be continued till the file ends with playing. The
content will be played once the buffer is over, cud be even
a min(eg.if the buffer is completed for 1 sec the content
will be played for one second)
Streaming:When user selects a conent to download,buffering
will take place and once the buffer is over.Content will be
played, untill then player wont be initiated.
And user can save, play again or whatever the operation he
requires.

what is streamining?..

Answer / suraj

Streaming means listening to music or watching a video in ‘real time’, instead of downloading a file to your computer and watching it later.

With internet videos and webcasts of live events, there is no file to download, just a continuous stream of data. Some broadcasters prefer streaming because it’s hard for most users to save the content and distribute it illegally.

what is streamining?..

Answer / ezhilarasan

The end user can start watching the file almost as soon as
it begins downloading. In effect, the file is sent to the
user in a constant stream, and the user watches it as it
arrives. The obvious advantage with this method is that no
waiting is involved. Streaming media has additional
advantages such as being able to broadcast live events

what is streamining?..

Answer / manikandan

Streaming is basically Playing an media file either audio
or video from server or from a website. Mobile connects to
the server(Network) through browser and play the file via
Media player. Streaming is one time conenction, once it
connects to network it will play the file from the server
with the resolution and clarity they are supporting in the
server(may be it will pause and play sometimes as part of
buffering).
PDL - Progressive downloading is a dual way, it will allow
to play the file as well as user can save the file to phone.
Usually Progressivedownloading will buffer and then play
the file, once it played allow user to save the content.

what is streamining?..

Answer / rohit

Bharthi n pal r quite correct. I would like to add on that
all this streaming is done by using two protocols RTSP and
RTP. The File is stored in "rtsp ://" format but rtsp is
not responsible for transferring of packets from one point
to end point but it plays the role in establishing and
maintaing the control in b/w end points. It uses RTCP as
well.............
