ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) and RARP (Reverse Address Resolution Protocol) are both used to map network layer addresses (like IP addresses) to link layer addresses (like MAC addresses). However, they differ in their functionality.nARP is used to find the hardware address of a device on the same local network segment. It does this by broadcasting a request for the IP-to-MAC address mapping for a particular device.nRARP, on the other hand, is used when a device has its own MAC address but doesn't know its own IP address. It sends a RARP request which contains its MAC address, and the RARP server responds with the corresponding IP address.
