What are major types of networks and explain
Answer / Anurag Chaudhary
The major types of networks are Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), Personal Area Network (PAN), and Campus Area Network (CAN). LANs are small networks designed to cover a limited area like a home, office or building. WANs connect geographically dispersed areas over long distances. MANs operate on a larger scale than LANs but smaller than WANs, typically covering a city or a large campus. PANs provide wireless connections between devices in a small area around the user such as a computer and mobile phone. CANs are used for networking within educational institutions, business campuses, etc.
