Direct Memory Access (DMA) is a method of transferring data between input/output devices and the computer's memory without CPU intervention. In other words, it allows peripherals to access and manipulate memory directly, reducing CPU load and improving performance. However, DMA is not a concept specific to .NET Architecture.
