Explain long term capital gains and how is it different from short term capital gains?..

Answer / Mukesh Pandey

Long-term Capital Gains (LTCG) arise when a capital asset is held for more than 1 year before being sold, and the gain is taxed at a flat rate of 10%. Short-term Capital Gains (STCG) are realized when a capital asset is held for less than 1 year before being sold, and they are taxed according to the applicable income tax slab rates.
