Two dice are thrown simultaneously. The probability that the product of the two numbers on the two ..

Answer / william

(b) 3/4 because it is the probability that the product of the two dice is even therefor:
1(2)+1(4)+1(6),+2(1,2,3,4,5,6),+3(2)+3(4)+3(6),+4(1,2,3,4,5,6),+5(2)+5(4)+5(6),+6(1,2,3,4,5,6)= 27/36=3/4

P(2dice)=x/36
P(product is even)=27/36=3/4

odd*even=even we have 9 of these
even*even=even we have 18 of these 9+18=27
27 out of a total possible 36 yields 3/4

Two dice are thrown simultaneously. The probability that the product of the two numbers on the two ..

Answer / debashish dash

product of two numbers is even if one of them is even.
in one set there are 6 digits. and in the other set there
are only 3 digits i.e 2, 4, 6.

total outcome is 6*6=36
outcome for even numbers is 6*3=18

probability that even number comes is 18/36=1/2

hence answer should be 1/2................
