It consists of two convex lenses of short focal lengths,
called the objective and the eye piece respectively. The
object to be magnified is placed just beyond the focus of
the objective. It forms a real, inverted and slightly
enlarged image of the object. This image is so adjusted that
it lies within the focus of the eye-piece, which acts as
magnifying glass, producing as image at the minimum distinct
of distance vision of the eye.
Now magnifying power of a microscope = angle subtended by
the image at
the eye

4. clip - it holds the slide.
5. Microscope slide - glass slide on which we have to do the experiment .
6. Arm - we hold the microscope through the arm .
7. Mirror - it has 2 convex lenses .
8- condenser -
9- coarse and fine adjustment - temporary and permanent adjustment to see the slide properly .
10- objective lens - we put the slide on the the objective lens .
