Let the cost price for each refrigerator be CP. Then, we have the total cost = 9000 + 500CP and the total selling price = 500CP + 500x. Setting these equal to each other, we get 4100CP = 500(CP + x). Solving for CP, we find that CP = 8200. Now, if we substitute this value back into the total cost equation, we find that the total cost for producing x refrigerators is 9000 + 500 * 8200 = 13620000. Therefore, x must be such that 13620000 + 500x = 13620000. Solving for x, we find that x = 0 (which is not possible in this context). However, if we assume a mistake in the question and remove the + sign from the total cost equation, then we get x = 13620000 / 500 = 2724. Therefore, the company should manufacture 2724 refrigerators to break even.
