Past consideration refers to an act or service done in the past, for which a promise to pay is made now. This is a valid consideration in law, as it shows that both parties have entered into a new agreement. For example: A doctor performs an operation on a patient and agrees to accept payment later.nOn the other hand, past voluntary services refer to acts or services done in the past without any expectation of payment, which do not form the basis for a valid contract. This is because there is no consideration (a benefit given in return for something). For example: A friend helps you move your furniture without expecting any payment.
