Is octroi duty by nature a tax you can pass on to the customer in your billing? how is it differen..

Answer / mohit jain

octroi duty is passed on us by our customer as a charge in
invoices issued by him to us, but vat is totally a type of
duty charged by government on him,he has to pay.
But we charged from our customer on the total bill amount.
so, it is to be said as a type of duty we charged on
our customer, and our customer can get a benifit of it in
his books of a/c

thanx
