VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) is a technology that enables the creation of multiple logical networks within a physical network infrastructure. It allows administrators to segment a LAN into different broadcast domains, thus reducing broadcast traffic and improving security by isolating devices into separate groups based on common requirements or policies.
