Yes...OT should be
included in Gross salary
for Professional
tax,ESI,EPF and TDS on
salary
purpose.. ..Further if you

OVERTIME SALARY IS NOT INCLUDED IN GROSS SALARY

it is variable income but not fixed income - so it not
added to Gross Salary as per CTC norms
But while paying the same it is added as variable income to
Gross Salary and can be paid
And it helps for Grossing up for ESIC / EPF Payment also
(applicable if they are under limits of ESIC/EPF).

If my basic salary is Rs 15000/- Pf is deducted on capping of 6500/- ie 780/- per month. If I work for 20 days and then my basic salary comes to rs 10000/- which is still higher than minimum limit of Rs 6500/-.Please suggest PF deduction will be 780/- or lower based on 6500x20/30x12%

my friend paid Rs.6.00 Lakhs go a government office through a demand draft for a particualr permission/license. But actual fee payable by is Rs.2.00 Lakhs. Peviously submitted demand draft for Rs.6.00 Lakhs has not been adjusted into governmet account. he went to govt.office and requested to return the 6.00 Lakhs demand draft and assured that he wll pay th actual fee of 2.00 Lakhs. Can he get back the previously submitted Rs.6.00 Lakhs demand draft duly paying the actual fee of 2.00 Lakhs
