A bank accept the deposits for lending purpose. A Bnak
accept the deposits from various accountholders known as
depositors. The deposit amount collected have been used for
providing loans to needy persons. The difference of deposit
rates and the lending rate is the profit margin of the bank.
Now a days
banks are providing miscleneous services such as demat
account maintenance, portfolio management, advisory services
for wealth creation, referal business for selling insurance
products, selling gold coins etc.
